Geoscience Interactive Week 2026 Forum

IGM is proud to share that our President, P.Geol Adam Hashim, represented the institute as a panelist at the Geoscience Interactive Week 2026 forum, “Our Future: Geology and Renewable Energy,” held at Universiti Malaya.

In his session, he highlighted the role of geothermal energy in Malaysia’s renewable journey — from its unique baseload reliability to the progress of local projects and the importance of collaboration between academia, industry, and government.

His insights underscored IGM’s commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions and inspiring the next generation of geoscientists.

Kementerian Sumber Asli dan Kelestarian Alam (NRES) terus memperkukuh peranan sektor geologi melalui penganjuran Sambutan Hari Ahli Geologi Peringkat Kebangsaan 2026 (HAG 2026) yang julung kali diadakan.
 
Majlis yang disempurnakan oleh YB Menteri Sumber Asli dan Kelestarian Alam, Dato’ Sri Arthur Joseph Kurup, merupakan hasil kerjasama strategik antara Lembaga Ahli Geologi Malaysia (BoG), Jabatan Mineral dan Geosains Malaysia (JMG), Institut Geologi Malaysia (IGM), Persatuan Perunding dan Perkhidmatan Geosains Malaysia (MyGEO) serta Persatuan Geologi Malaysia (GSM).
 
Presiden IGM, P.Geol Adam Hashim dan Setiausaha IGM, Dr. Siti Sarah, telah secara aktif mengambil bahagian pada acara tersebut.
